Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communication equipment
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and database entries
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and EMS teams seamlessly
- Participate in continuous training to enhance crisis management skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and psychological evaluation
- Exceptional communication skills with clear articulation under stress
- Proficiency in multitasking and decision-making during fast-paced scenarios
- Basic computer literacy with willingness to learn specialized dispatch software
- Minimum age 18 with U.S. citizenship and valid North Carolina driver's license
