  • Provide critical, real-time information to field units, including directions, suspect descriptions, and scene hazards.
  • Monitor radio frequencies and computer terminals for officer safety alerts and resource requests.
  • Assist in the training and mentorship of new dispatch personnel during the trainee program.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and support personnel to ensure seamless incident resolution.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Valid California Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak clearly and concisely over the radio.
  • Ability to type at least 35-40 WPM accurately.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress, emergency situations.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • U.S. Citizenship or legal right to work in the United States.
