Responsibilities

  • Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls for service accurately and efficiently.
  • Dispatch law enforcement officers, fire units, and medical personnel to incident locations using two-way radios and Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent; completion of a post-secondary education in criminal justice or communications is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under extreme pressure and stressful conditions.
  • Proficient in typing and navigating computer systems quickly and accurately.
