Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls and dispatch appropriate first responders
- Operate radio systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) technology
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and case records
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support
- Train in NJSPIN protocols and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be 18+ years old and U.S. citizen
- Pass background check and pre-employment screening
- Basic computer literacy and typing proficiency
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
