Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Operate radio communication systems for police, fire, and medical units
- Enter and update critical information in computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems
- Maintain calm demeanor during high-stress emergency situations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Document all communications and activities per department protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- Clear criminal background check and drug screening
- Ability to type 35+ WPM with accuracy
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
