Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- Coordinate with police, fire, and EMS units
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident reports
- Provide critical information to first responders
- Remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Complete all required training modules
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- U.S. citizenship and valid Texas driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (verified test required)
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- No felony convictions
- Must pass civil service examination
