Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, and EMS services
- Operate radio systems to coordinate field units
- Enter and update information in CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all communications
- Provide critical pre-arrival instructions to callers
- Collaborate with multi-agency responders during emergencies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Basic computer proficiency with typing ability (40+ WPM preferred)
- Tennessee driver's license with clean driving record
- No felony convictions
