Responsibilities
- Process 911 emergency calls and prioritize dispatch of appropriate police/fire/EMS units
- Maintain accurate radio communications with field units during critical incidents
- Enter and update information in CAD/RMS systems with precision
- Provide caller instructions during medical emergencies and crisis situations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Complete detailed incident documentation and reports
- Participate in ongoing scenario-based training drills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Experience in customer service or high-pressure environments
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of Boston geography is advantageous
- Must be available for rotating shifts including nights/weekends
