Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls and dispatch appropriate police/fire/EMS resources
- Maintain detailed logs of all incidents and communications
- Operate CAD systems and radio equipment during high-stress scenarios
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during active emergencies
- Provide critical information to first responders via digital channels
- Execute crisis intervention protocols for distressed callers
- Train on advanced systems including NG911 and GIS mapping
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid NC driver's license within 30 days of hire
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with accuracy
- US citizenship or legal resident status
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- Basic computer literacy with MS Office proficiency
- No felony convictions (misdemeanors reviewed case-by-case)
