Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police units, fire, and medical services using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and documentation in compliance with NIMS protocols
- Provide critical information to officers in the field and coordinate resources
- Operate radio equipment and multi-line telephone systems efficiently
- Assist in training new dispatchers and departmental policy updates
- Perform data entry and record management duties
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Nevada driver's license
- Pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends/holidays
- Strong multitasking and crisis management skills
- Proficiency in computer applications and radio operation
- Must be a U.S. citizen and 18+ years of age
