Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls, gathering accurate information and dispatching appropriate resources
- Operate radio communication systems to coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses
- Maintain detailed logs of all calls, incidents, and actions taken
- Provide critical information to first responders and the public during emergencies
- Utilize CAD systems and other technology to track incidents and resources
- Work collaboratively with law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and protocol standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM)
- Excellent communication and active listening abilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergency situations
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Must be at least 18 years old
