Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police units and maintain accurate radio communications
- Input and maintain sensitive data in law enforcement databases
- Coordinate with other emergency agencies (fire, EMS) during critical incidents
- Provide critical information to officers and the public during high-stress situations
- Complete all required state certification training within 6 months
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA/GDPR protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and drug screening
- Exceptional communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Proficient with computers and basic software
- Must be 18+ years old and a US citizen
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (testing required)
