Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray scanners, metal detectors, and explosive trace detection equipment
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screening at security checkpoints
- Identify and report prohibited items according to TSA protocols
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security regulations
- Document screening activities and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel
- Participate in continuous security training and drills
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4-6 hours)
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Strong attention to detail and observational abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights/holidays
- Valid U.S. driver's license (if required for role)
