Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses along designated routes
- Sort, organize, and prepare mail according to USPS regulations and delivery standards
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report service issues or discrepancies
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and adhere to traffic laws and USPS protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with residents and businesses
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical concerns promptly
- Adhere to all USPS safety procedures and security protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift mail sacks weighing up to 70 pounds
- Ability to walk 5-8 hours daily in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling mail
- Basic computer skills for tracking and reporting systems
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required
- Pass background check and drug screening
