Responsibilities
- Process and sort incoming/outgoing mail and parcels using automated and manual systems
- Operate mail processing machinery including scanners, sorters, and conveyor belts
- Prepare and dispatch mail for delivery routes according to established protocols
- Maintain accurate inventory of postal supplies and equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service at public service counters
- Adhere to USPS security procedures and safety regulations
- Document and report mail irregularities or delivery issues
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent residency status required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
