Responsibilities
- Sort and distribute mail/packages according to USPS regulations and delivery routes
- Operate delivery vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws and delivery schedules
- Collect outgoing mail from residential/business mailboxes and collection boxes
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report irregularities to supervisors
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with the public
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and safety inspections
- Adhere to all postal security protocols and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift/move up to 70 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer literacy for tracking systems
