Responsibilities
- Sort and process incoming and outgoing mail efficiently using automated sorting equipment.
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers along assigned routes.
- Collect and process postage due fees and return undeliverable mail.
- Lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs on a regular basis.
- Interact professionally with the public and maintain a positive image of USPS.
- Utilize handheld delivery devices (PDAs) to update delivery status and route information.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the postal vehicle.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or have legal right to work in the United States.
- Valid driver's license (for vehicle operation).
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Basic reading and writing skills.
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
