Responsibilities
- Sort and distribute mail/packages efficiently according to ZIP codes and delivery routes
- Operate delivery vehicles safely while adhering to traffic regulations and time schedules
- Load/unload mail trucks with proper weight distribution and safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service at retail counters and along delivery routes
- Maintain accurate delivery records and handle customer inquiries/complaints professionally
- Operate automated mail processing equipment with precision and speed
- Adhere to all USPS security procedures and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status with valid work authorization
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for package tracking systems
- Fluency in English (Spanish fluency highly valued in San Antonio)
- Ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions
