Responsibilities
- Sort, distribute, and deliver mail/packages according to established routes and schedules
- Operate delivery vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws and USPS regulations
- Collect outgoing mail, process postage payments, and maintain accurate delivery records
- Provide exceptional customer service when handling inquiries at post offices or on delivery routes
- Operate scanning equipment and digital tracking systems for package verification
- Report delivery issues, damaged property, or suspicious activities to supervisors
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic operational checks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and walk extended distances
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Basic computer literacy for digital tracking systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Strong time management and organizational skills
