Job Description
Join Starlight Systems in our mission to define the digital infrastructure of the year 2026 and beyond. We are seeking a visionary Orbital Data Architect to lead the integration of quantum-ready data streams into our satellite constellation network. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of global connectivity and artificial intelligence in space.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between terrestrial cloud computing and orbital data processing, ensuring our systems are scalable, secure, and future-proof for the next decade of technological evolution.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect high-availability data pipelines for satellite-to-ground transmission optimized for the 2026 latency standards.
- Integrate quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols into our core data storage architecture.
- Lead a cross-functional team of engineers to deploy AI-driven anomaly detection systems in real-time orbital environments.
- Collaborate with astrophysicists to map data requirements for deep-space communication arrays.
- Optimize database performance to handle exabytes of telemetry data generated by next-gen sensor arrays.
- Ensure compliance with international space data governance regulations and security standards.
Qualifications
- Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Astrophysics, or a related field (PhD preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in big data architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), and distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Rust, and quantum computing simulation tools.
- Experience with real-time data processing frameworks (Apache Kafka, Apache Flink).
- Deep understanding of network protocols and low-latency communication systems.
- Proven track record of leading technical teams in high-stakes environments.
