Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic communication plans for transportation projects affecting Jacksonville
- Manage media relations and serve as primary spokesperson for Northeast Florida initiatives
- Create compelling content including press releases, social media updates, and public meeting materials
- Coordinate with community leaders and stakeholders to address public concerns
- Analyze public sentiment and adjust communication strategies accordingly
- Support crisis communications and emergency response coordination
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in public affairs or government communications
- Proven track record of managing media relations and press conferences
- Expertise in social media management and digital content creation
- Strong writing skills with ability to simplify technical information
- Experience with public meeting facilitation and stakeholder engagement
- Valid Florida driver's license
