Responsibilities
- Process and verify eligibility for municipal benefit programs including healthcare subsidies and housing assistance
- Provide comprehensive case management for low-income families and seniors
- Maintain accurate records using proprietary government databases
- Conduct outreach programs to connect underserved communities with available benefits
- Collaborate with state agencies to ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Generate monthly reports on benefit program utilization and outcomes
- Train new staff on benefit program protocols and documentation standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related field
- 3+ years experience in government benefits administration or social services
- Certification in Case Management or Public Benefits preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and government database systems
- Strong understanding of federal and Colorado state benefit programs
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- Valid Colorado driver's license and reliable transportation
