Responsibilities
- Manage municipal pension fund investments and compliance with federal regulations
- Develop annual budget proposals and financial reports for City Council review
- Analyze fiscal policies and recommend improvements for long-term financial sustainability
- Oversee grant applications and compliance with state/federal funding requirements
- Coordinate with department heads on budget allocation and resource optimization
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards
- Lead public financial literacy initiatives and community outreach programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of government or public sector financial management experience
- Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) designation required
- Advanced proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data analytics tools
- Demonstrated knowledge of Indiana public finance laws and pension regulations
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to diverse stakeholders
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance
