Responsibilities
- Analyze pension fund performance and recommend investment strategies to maximize returns
- Monitor compliance with Indiana Public Pension regulations and reporting requirements
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports for city council and oversight committees
- Collaborate with Treasury Department on budget forecasting and capital planning
- Conduct risk assessments for long-term liabilities and market volatility
- Develop financial models to simulate pension fund sustainability scenarios
- Coordinate annual audits with external financial examiners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in pension fund management or public finance
- CFA or CFP certification strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS) regulations
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling software (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet)
- Experience with government GAAP and GASB reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to regulatory compliance
