Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee public health programs addressing chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and response initiatives for natural disasters
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform policy decisions
- Manage community partnerships with healthcare providers and non-profit organizations
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) outreach coordination
- Lead grant writing and administration for federal health funding opportunities
- Ensure compliance with Louisiana Department of Health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program management
- Strong knowledge of CDC guidelines and emergency response protocols
- Experience with health data analysis using tools like SAS or SPSS
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Experience with federal grant management and reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
