Responsibilities
- Develop and execute public health strategies aligned with CDC guidelines and community needs
- Manage departmental budgets exceeding $5M and ensure fiscal compliance
- Oversee emergency preparedness initiatives for health crises
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends
- Coordinate with community organizations to implement health education programs
- Lead grant writing processes to secure federal and state funding
- Supervise 15+ public health specialists and program coordinators
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health program management
- Current certification in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Proficiency in health data analytics tools (SPSS, SAS, Tableau)
- Experience with grant writing and federal compliance requirements
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel within Dallas County
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish highly desirable
