Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs, including immunization campaigns, maternal health initiatives, and chronic disease prevention.
- Lead emergency preparedness and response efforts, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Manage budgets and resources for public health projects, ensuring efficient allocation and accountability.
- Collaborate with community organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies to build partnerships and enhance outreach.
- Analyze public health data to identify trends, assess community needs, and inform strategic planning.
- Develop and deliver health education materials and training for diverse audiences.
- Represent the department at public meetings, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Health Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public health administration or a related role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong knowledge of public health principles, policies, and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analysis and experience with public health information systems.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally within Franklin County.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
