Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive public health strategies aligned with county priorities
- Manage $5M+ in grant budgets and ensure regulatory compliance
- Lead crisis response initiatives during public health emergencies
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform evidence-based interventions
- Supervise 15+ staff across health promotion and disease control divisions
- Present policy recommendations to county commissioners and health board
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in public health program management
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent credential
- Expertise in grant writing and federal/state compliance requirements
- Proven ability to lead multi-agency health initiatives
- Strong data analysis skills using Epi-Info or similar platforms
- Texas driver's license and ability to travel county-wide
