Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive public health strategies aligned with CDC and state guidelines
- Oversee community health initiatives targeting maternal health, infectious disease control, and chronic disease prevention
- Manage grant-funded projects totaling $2M+ annually with rigorous fiscal oversight
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses and public health crisis communications
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health disparities and inform policy recommendations
- Lead cross-departmental partnerships with healthcare providers and non-profit organizations
- Supervise multidisciplinary teams including epidemiologists, health educators, and outreach specialists
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health (MPH), Health Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive public health administration experience in government settings
- Proven expertise in grant management, budget development, and federal compliance (e.g., HRSA, CDC)
- Advanced certification in Public Health (CPH) or Healthcare Management (FACHE)
- Proficiency in health data analytics tools (e.g., SAS, Tableau) and EHR systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex intergovernmental relationships and stakeholder engagement
- Valid Nebraska driver's license and ability to travel to community sites within metropolitan area
