Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency public health responses during natural disasters and public health crises
- Develop and implement community health education programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and recommend intervention strategies
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies to ensure compliance with public health regulations
- Manage grant-funded health initiatives and oversee program budgets
- Lead community outreach efforts to improve health literacy and access to services
- Prepare and submit detailed public health reports to city leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certification in Emergency Management (CEM) or Public Health Emergency Preparedness (CPHEP)
- Proven experience managing grants and health program budgets
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in health information systems
- Excellent communication abilities for diverse community engagement
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines during emergencies
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
