Responsibilities
- Design and execute evidence-based public health interventions for disease prevention and health promotion
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and analyze health data to identify emerging threats
- Coordinate with community partners to deliver health education programs and vaccination campaigns
- Develop grant proposals and manage budgets for public health initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city officials and state health agencies
- Lead crisis response during public health emergencies
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Experience working with diverse communities and vulnerable populations
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends for community events
