Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health strategies for urban populations
- Oversee emergency preparedness responses and public health crisis management
- Analyze health data to identify disparities and inform policy recommendations
- Manage cross-functional teams including epidemiologists, community health workers, and program coordinators
- Collaborate with Chicago Public Schools, hospitals, and community organizations
- Secure and administer federal/state health grants totaling $2M+ annually
- Lead health equity initiatives for underserved Chicago neighborhoods
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of public health administration experience in urban settings
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Expertise in health policy development and grant management
- Strong data analytics skills with proficiency in SPSS/R or similar tools
- Experience managing budgets exceeding $500,000
- Knowledge of Illinois public health regulations and CMS compliance
- Bi-lingual in English/Spanish preferred
