Responsibilities
- Oversee development and implementation of public health programs addressing chronic disease prevention and health education
- Coordinate emergency response initiatives for public health crises including pandemics and environmental hazards
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform evidence-based policy recommendations
- Manage cross-departmental collaborations with healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies
- Ensure compliance with federal/state public health regulations and grant reporting requirements
- Lead community outreach initiatives to reduce health disparities and promote health equity
- Supervise staff and manage departmental budget allocation for public health initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or related field (MPH preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in public health program management
- Proven expertise in epidemiological analysis and health data interpretation
- PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred
- Experience managing federal/state grants and public health compliance
- Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- Pennsylvania driver's license with clean driving record (for field visits)
- Proficiency in public health informatics systems (e.g., Epi-Info, SAS)
