Responsibilities
- Design and implement public health programs addressing chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and inform policy decisions
- Manage grant applications and oversee compliance with federal/state health regulations
- Coordinate inter-agency partnerships with hospitals, NGOs, and tribal health services
- Develop educational campaigns on vaccination, nutrition, and maternal health
- Prepare comprehensive reports for City Council and public health boards
- Supervise departmental staff and evaluate program effectiveness
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 3+ years experience in government or non-profit health program management
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or Healthcare Administration preferred
- Proficient in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and federal compliance
- Strong understanding of Arizona public health statutes and CDC guidelines
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and public speaking
