Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention
- Analyze complex epidemiological data to identify community health trends and disparities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic health policy recommendations
- Secure and manage federal/state grant funding for public health initiatives
- Lead community outreach and stakeholder engagement activities
- Prepare comprehensive reports for public health board meetings and legislative bodies
- Mentor junior analysts and coordinate interdepartmental health projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health experience with government or nonprofit agencies
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Demonstrated success in grant writing and federal funding management
- Valid Kentucky driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience with community health assessment methodologies
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage competing priorities
- Knowledge of HIPAA and public health data confidentiality regulations
