Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data and health trends to inform public policy development
- Develop and evaluate evidence-based health intervention programs for diverse populations
- Coordinate with state agencies, local health departments, and community stakeholders
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy briefs for executive leadership review
- Lead community health assessments and quality improvement initiatives
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Represent the department at public health conferences and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health analysis or policy development
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS) and data visualization tools
- Knowledge of Florida public health statutes and federal regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical audiences
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Experience with grant writing and program evaluation
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
