Responsibilities
- Develop and implement city-wide public health emergency response plans
- Oversee community vaccination and disease prevention programs
- Coordinate health data collection and reporting to CDC/MDHHS
- Manage public health grant budgets and compliance
- Lead cross-departmental health initiatives with Detroit Police/Fire
- Conduct health equity assessments for underserved neighborhoods
- Train frontline workers on public health protocols
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field
- 3+ years government/public health administration experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and CDC guidelines
- Experience with emergency management systems (IMS/NIMS)
- Proficient in public health data visualization tools
- Demonstrated crisis communication skills
