Responsibilities
- Monitor disease trends and analyze epidemiological data using SAS/R/Python
- Develop public health emergency response protocols and conduct risk assessments
- Prepare comprehensive reports for federal/state health agencies and county commissioners
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to implement vaccination campaigns
- Manage grant-funded projects totaling $500K+ annually
- Train public health staff on data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- Represent the department in interagency coalitions and community forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years experience in disease surveillance or health data analysis
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, STATA) and GIS mapping
- Valid Arizona driver's license and ability to travel countywide
- Familiarity with HIPAA and public health reporting regulations
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible within 6 months
- Demonstrated experience with federal grant reporting (CDC/HRSA)
