Responsibilities
- Develop and implement public health education programs targeting underserved populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and recommend interventions
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, schools, and non-profits on community health initiatives
- Prepare grant proposals and manage program budgets for health improvement projects
- Conduct health assessments and report findings to city leadership
- Advise policymakers on evidence-based public health strategies
- Lead community outreach events and vaccination campaigns
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Experience writing grant proposals and managing budgets
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse community stakeholders
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends for events
