Responsibilities
- Analyze public health data to identify emerging trends and prioritize community interventions
- Develop and maintain surveillance systems for chronic diseases and infectious conditions
- Create educational materials and outreach programs for diverse populations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and community organizations on health equity initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county leadership and grant applications
- Participate in emergency response planning and public health crisis management
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health data analysis or program implementation
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R) and GIS mapping tools
- Strong understanding of CDC guidelines and local health department regulations
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with bilingual capabilities preferred
- Valid Virginia driver's license with reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours during public health emergencies
