Responsibilities
- Analyze population health data to identify trends, disparities, and emerging health threats
- Develop evidence-based public health interventions and policy recommendations
- Collaborate with local health departments and community organizations
- Prepare comprehensive reports for state legislators and public health officials
- Manage surveillance systems for communicable diseases and chronic conditions
- Lead cross-functional teams on special health initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal and state health regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
- Master's degree preferred with 3+ years public health experience
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (R, SAS, SPSS)
- Knowledge of HIPAA, CDC guidelines, and CA Health & Safety Code
- Experience with health data visualization (Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
