Responsibilities
- Design and oversee community health initiatives targeting maternal health, chronic disease prevention, and emergency preparedness
- Conduct needs assessments and data analysis to identify public health priorities in Sedgwick County
- Facilitate partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, and non-profits for program implementation
- Develop educational materials and deliver health outreach programs to diverse populations
- Monitor program outcomes and prepare comprehensive reports for state and federal compliance
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure proper budget utilization
- Represent KDHE at community events and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health program coordination or community health work
- Knowledge of Kansas public health regulations and CDC guidelines
- Strong data analysis skills with experience in health informatics
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience managing grants and program budgets
- Valid Kansas driver's license
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency highly desirable
