Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health datasets to identify disease trends, health disparities, and emerging threats
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations for public health stakeholders and policymakers
- Collaborate with epidemiologists and program managers to support outbreak investigations
- Ensure data integrity through rigorous quality control protocols and validation methodologies
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for public health leadership and community partners
- Stay current with evolving public health data standards and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in health data analysis or epidemiological research
- Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, or similar data manipulation tools
- Experience with public health surveillance systems (e.g., CSTE, NEDSS)
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and epidemiological principles
- Certification in public health (CPH) or data analytics highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate technical data
