Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret public health data to identify trends in disease outbreaks and health disparities
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports for state agencies and policymakers
- Coordinate with epidemiologists and healthcare partners on data-driven interventions
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and data security protocols for sensitive health information
- Present findings to stakeholders through clear visualizations and executive summaries
- Contribute to statewide emergency response planning through predictive modeling
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in health data analysis or epidemiological research
- Proficiency in SQL, R, and Tableau/Power BI for data visualization
- Strong understanding of public health surveillance systems and methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Certification in Public Health (CPH) or data analytics strongly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a government environment
