Responsibilities
- Analyze complex epidemiological data and health trends using SAS, R, and Tableau to inform public health strategies
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for community health initiatives in Mecklenburg County
- Coordinate with local healthcare providers and community organizations to implement outreach programs
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for state policymakers and stakeholder meetings
- Manage grant-funded projects with budgets exceeding $500,000
- Lead cross-functional teams to address health disparities in underserved populations
- Stay current with CDC guidelines and state health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health data analysis and program evaluation
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SAS, SPSS, or R)
- Experience with public health surveillance systems and data visualization tools
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Ability to obtain security clearance for sensitive health data access
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for policy briefings
- Knowledge of NC public health frameworks and Title X requirements
