Responsibilities
- Coordinate county-wide emergency response operations during public health crises (e.g., pandemics, natural disasters)
- Develop and execute crisis communication strategies for diverse audiences
- Liaise with federal/state agencies including CDC and Georgia DPH
- Oversee deployment of medical resources and vaccination programs
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform policy decisions
- Train first responders and public health staff on emergency protocols
- Manage grant funding for emergency preparedness initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years crisis response coordination experience
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) preferred
- Expertise in NIMS/ICS frameworks
- Strong data analysis skills (Tableau/Power BI)
- Exceptional crisis communication abilities
- Valid Georgia driver's license
- Ability to work 24/7 during emergencies
