Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive emergency preparedness plans for public health incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency response efforts during disasters and health crises
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for critical infrastructure
- Train public health staff and community partners on emergency protocols
- Manage emergency supply chains and resource allocation systems
- Prepare and submit federal grant applications for emergency response funding
- Analyze incident data to improve future response strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years experience in public health emergency response or disaster management
- Certification in Emergency Management (CEM or equivalent preferred)
- Strong knowledge of NIMS/ICS frameworks and FEMA guidelines
- Experience with GIS mapping and emergency software platforms
- Exceptional crisis communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to work irregular hours during emergencies
