Responsibilities
- Develop and implement emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Coordinate multi-agency disaster response operations with FEMA, CDC, and local partners
- Lead public risk communication during emergencies (press briefings, social media, community outreach)
- Manage emergency supply chains and resource allocation for field operations
- Analyze health data to predict crisis impacts and inform policy decisions
- Train staff and community responders in emergency preparedness procedures
- Conduct post-incident evaluations and recommend system improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in crisis response or public health emergency operations
- Incident Command System (ICS) certification (FEMA 100/200/700)
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams under tight deadlines
- Expertise in health data analysis and emergency communication tools
- Valid California Driver's License and ability to deploy 24/7 during emergencies
- Spanish bilingual proficiency strongly preferred
