Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency responses during public health crises
- Develop and implement outbreak control strategies for infectious diseases
- Lead community vaccination campaigns and public education initiatives
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats
- Manage emergency supply chains and resource allocation
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to federal/state authorities
- Train public health staff on emergency response protocols
- Liaise with healthcare providers and community stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health emergency response
- Certified in Incident Command System (ICS) or NIMS
- Proficient in epidemiological data analysis tools (e.g., Epi-Info)
- Demonstrated crisis communication experience
- Knowledge of KY public health regulations and FEMA guidelines
- Valid Kentucky driver's license
- Ability to work 24/7 during emergency activations
