Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response operations during public health crises
- Develop and implement rapid-deployment protocols for disease outbreaks and disasters
- Lead community outreach initiatives to ensure compliance with emergency directives
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform strategic response decisions
- Train public health staff on emergency procedures and resource allocation
- Collaborate with FEMA and federal health agencies during large-scale incidents
- Prepare emergency response budgets and resource allocation plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in public health emergency response
- Valid Illinois Emergency Management certification (EMT-P or higher)
- Advanced knowledge of NIMS/ICS frameworks
- Experience leading crisis response teams in urban environments
- Proficiency in emergency management software (e.g., WebEOC)
- Strong data analysis and crisis communication skills
- Ability to work 24/7 rotational shifts during emergencies
